Cartwheels & Merry-Go-Rounds
I started this series with curiosity, mixing red shades and falling for the vivacity of my palette. I painted shapes and lines on papers to use as source material then collaged pieces into an original artwork. The series’ title captures my imagination and is a nod to memories of agricultural shows back home, driving past the Big Top ready for summer shows and once learning new tricks in the gym – handstands, somersaults and climbing ropes. Resplendent with striking colour and rhythm, this series sings my spirit high and enlivens my everyday.
